GSE: MTN gains 29% in July, Enterprise Group down 35%

MTN topped all stocks on the Ghana Stock Exchange in July 2024 with a return of 29.3%. The shares of the telecommunications giant are up 67.1% this year with the stock trading at GH¢2.34 per share as at July 31. Other gainers in the month include Total Petroleum (up 27.5%), Atlantic Lithium (up 25%), and Republic Bank (up 8.3%).

On the other hand, Enterprise Group led the laggards with a decline of 35.1% in July. The stock is down 35.1% for the year and is trading at GH¢1.55 per share as at July 31. Other stocks that saw decline include Fan Milk (-4.9%) and CAL Bank (-2.9%).
