Ghanaian investment conglomerate, IC Group, has unveiled a mobile application which will allow investors to access a range of services offered by the company, including the ability to trade shares on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE). The app, which was introduced during an IC Liquidity Fund Investor Call on February 29, comes two and half years after the company launched a web trading platform.
IC Group holds several subsidiaries engaged in investment banking, securities dealing, asset management, and wealth management across Sub-Saharan Africa. In Ghana the securities arm of the firm is renowned for the IPO of Tullow PLC and MTN Ghana.
In April 2022 IC launched the IC Liquidity Fund, a money market fund focused on ensuring maximum liquidity to investors. The fund currently has about GHS54 million in assets under management (AUM). The app allows investors in the fund to make deposits, withdrawals, set targets, access fact sheets and to set up automated deposits.
Stocks on the GSE returned 28% last year and the application is expected to make it easier for more investors to allocate funds to the stock market. The app, called IC Wealth, is available for download free on iOS or Android.
