Ghana’s public debt as at December 2015 was GH¢97.2 billion ($25.6 billion). The domestic component of this debt i.e. the part of the debt owed to Ghanaian individuals or companies who buy treasury bills and other government securities was GH¢39.4 billion or roughly 41%.
